Hello Everyone!

We're so glad to have you join us as we grow NUI Central. Our goal is to make it a place that you value and get benefit from as you help create the next tech revolution, right here in NY/NJ.

The details for our first Meetup have been updated. We'll be meeting on February 25th @ 6:30PM at WeWork Labs, 175 Varick Street, New York, NY. Details are here: Please note: we're trying to minimize no-shows and avoid having to start charging for events just to weed them out. Please be sure that your RSVP is up-to-date, especially if you wanted to join us but can't make it now.

Very Important: We'll be hosting "Battle of the COMMANDS". Two NUI Central visionaries will battle it out in a fight to the end, pitting iOS against Android in a Siri vs. Google Voice Search voice command battle. We need a volunteer for each side of the battle. Please let us know ASAP that you'd like to bring your phone and represent either Siri or Google Voice Search!

There are a bunch of ideas for future meetings including demo days, hackathons, speakers, panelists, etc. We'll be approaching NUI from a number of perspectives not just coding, so things like the UX of NUI, brand perspectives on NUI, NUI app ideas, NUI from an investor's perspective, and more will be included.

In case you're wondering, yes, there will be a NUI Central web site. It's GUI has been designed and we are moving into development. The site will be something like a cross between LinkedIn and Behance, but totally focused on NUI. It will be 100% free and open to anyone interested in NUI, including enthusiasts.

We're excited to see you at our first event - I hope you'll be there!
