Altered reality; Entrepreneurial-ish stuff (i.e. meeting "like-minded" people to possibly make/do something awesome, and get paid in the process); Hardware-side computer stuff (such as building a Beowulf cluster); Software-side computer stuff (programming, application development, Linux/Android based software/OS implementation, etc.); Working on my G-code (using CNC based machines if possible); Automotive related projects (namely integrating a computer in a car); 3D printing (of course); Working on my networking skills (i.e. setting up a LAN/WAN/PAN/*AN that works); Aviation related activities; Home automation; Arduino; and many others
Well, I was looking for Waldo, and instead somehow ended up here... In all seriousness: I am an engineering student at Virginia Tech, where there is a eager group of people just aching to form a hackerspace (which is named "Hacksburg"). There seems to have been numerous small issues holding back the group from creating an official "Hacksburg," and I while I am taking this [Fall 2013] semester off, I'd like to be part of an official hackerspace so that I can pick up a few tips and tricks (and some motivation) to get the community back in Blacksburg set up to hack some awesomeness. So, to make a long story short, Google is how I found HackRVA.
VT student in the Richmond area for a little while.
