Blogathon SF (VentureBeat, Google, Marketo, and more)

Mark your calendars!

On August 1st, 2013 Viralheat will host out first ever Blogathon and you’re invited to participate! The event which is modeled after the popular hackathons will bring together Community Managers, Bloggers, Social Media Managers, and Marketers for an evening of friendly competition and educational presentations.

The judges and speakers joining us for the evening are experts in the field and represent some of the biggest names in the Bay Area include San Francisco State University, VentureBeat, Google, Marketo, and many more!

If you are a coder, and working on a project, this is a huge chance to be featured in VentureBeat.

How can you participate?

There’s two ways to join in on the fun. You can participate as a blogger which means you’ll write during the event on a pre-determined topic. The post will be submitted for review by our judges who will then choose a winner. That winner will be featured on VentureBeat as a guest blogger. This is a great way to get your writing noticed and bring attention to your company.

The second way to participate is to register as a guest. Guests will enjoy all the same perks of the event: food, drink, great speakers, and lots of socializing without blogging during the event. Of course, only those blog posts submitted during the Blogathon will have the chance to be featured on VentureBeat.

Naturally, make sure and do your finger yoga prior to any extreme activities ending in '-athon', you know, for flexibility and agility.

Bill

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
