Hacker Hours is an opportunity for you to work on your personal programming projects and seek help from others in the group. For those who want focused 1:1 help learning a new programming language, we encourage you to check out the resources for self-directed learning (see "Resources" below) and then bring your projects and questions to the group to fill in any gaps. The organizers and attendees of the group will be happy to assist if they can.
We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 5:30 - 7:30 with the potential to go longer as time / interest permit. While we strive to keep things free-form, we do believe that some structure is necessary to ensure that people are matched up appropriately. Here's how we do it:
• 5:30 - 5:45: Arrive, grab a seat, start working on your project
• 5:45 - 6:00: Introduce yourself and your project
• 6:00 - 7:30: Work on your project, give / get help
We'll keep track of what everyone is working on, so don't worry if you have to arrive late -- an organizer can help get you matched up with someone if possible.
Food and drink are not provided at this meeting, but please feel free to bring your own. There are a few local places within a block radius:
