2600 meeting

  • October 3, 2014 · 6:00 PM

2600 Magazine--one of the longest running technology, security, social, and software/hardware and hacking hacking magazines--encourages local geeks to get together monthly (first Friday of the month).  Attendance is free for anyone with an open mind and a curious nature.  Meetings in the Albuquerque area have been held since August of 1996.

No charge, but a small donation to Quelab to help pay rent for the space is appreciated.

Canceling it this month. Looking for a Co-host/promoter. Tonight should be the monthly 2600 meeting, although I'm feeling a little under the weather. And of late have been busy/slacking on announcing the meetings (other than the automatic meetup one) Attendance has been down for years. Unless a member wants to co-host/promote it I think I will announce an ending to them and free up my first friday of the month for the first time since 1996.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
