What was the last DIY project that you started?

The Wayward Wallet Project: a tool to help generous people more effectively help those in need on a local scale. This is a DIY project in that I'm the only one doing it, and also it encourages generous people to create their own customised solutions to need in others.

What was the last DIY project that you finished?

i built a cigar box banjo. It sounded great, and exploded three months later. Ah well.

What are your hacker/maker areas of interest?

Quelab, my back room at home, libraries, and the TechLOVE Combine thing.

What are you looking for in a hackerspace?

Organization, imagination, a tapped-in community of thinkers and doers, activity in the community, and promotion of teaching/learning models that get people doing things.

I'm a C64 hacker from long ago. These days I'm hacking community and educational systems! I organise the Ignite New Mexico events with friends from Quelab, and develop web pages in Drupal.
