What a great event! It was definitely what I expected and can't wait for the next one!

I feel that fashion often gets overlooked in the quest for better tech, as it's the fashionable devices that people want to wear. Just look at how much better the iPhone did than that PDA. It's all marketing and image (ie fashion). It was definitely a good idea to bridge that world with ours (tech). I got the opportunity to meet a bunch of cool people, some of whom really 'speak my language', and learn a lot from their perspectives. I was hoping to meet those bio-hackers that won an award (I was the dude who was like "yyeaaaahhh!!"), but alas, maybe you'll see this? Then, there was this Glasses Guy who had some really cool stuff to talk about, as well as promoting a hackntalk, which I plan to attend and get my grubby little hackerhands on a BCI. Of all the wearables, that's the one that's been .. on my brain.. lately. See you all at the next one!

Hey everyone! If you are lost in terms of directions, the event is happening at the AMC building right on Dundas and Yonge, just take the elevator besides Starbucks to the 6th floor. You will meet our volunteers anyways, they will show you where to go.

    Hey :)

I'm a Brazilian exchange student (Computer Science) at UofT and this is my first meetup. I'm about to graduate by the end of this year back in Brazil and seriously thinking about coming back to Canada.

Drop me a line or say hello tonight if you want to talk about software development/engineering, security, business ideas or the World Cup(?). :)

    Cheers,

    Hello World!

I'm not coming out looking for a job, nor employee. I'm just here to meet other hackers/makers/creators/whatever we want to call ourselves. I'm looking to (as the intro message so aptly put it) meet some people who understand what the hell I'm talking about!

I have been to a hackernest before in september in toronto's entertainment district. I want to be able to interact with a hardcore geek, someone that has at least worked on sql tables with multiple many-to-many relationships and has successfully written an application to handle all the data in them.
