Demos at the June Tech Social

Monday night is going to be a speed-demo event as we have so many great things to share!  We booked amazing demos, they each have 10 mins to wow you with how great they are - it is going to be a marathon!  Here is what we have for you (are you ready??)

We are so excited to have our hosts and sponsors, HootSuite, joining us on Monday evening to give us a great demo and presentation.  We are honoured to have Simon Stanlake, the CTO of HootSuite as well as Mark Holder who heads up their Apps team who will both be doing a presentation for the HackerNest attendees.  We can't wait! @HootSuite

We are also pleased to have the awesome team from Peace Geeks join us to demo Amani! Amani helps  Peace Geeks to help their grassroots partners to get up and running quick with robust web sites to advance their work on peace, accountability and human rights.

@peacegeeks

And... just to keep it even more awesome and jammed-packed full of cool demos we have the team from Optimus Mobility demonstrating their app. The Social App is a mobile application that aids your company in creating an engaging connection with your customers, employees and stakeholders. Through their real-time social media integration combined with other features they are able to showcase the most important company information through a single platform, and in a fun and social way. With company specific solutions they allow companies to aggregate and showcase diverse information from multiple social and non-social sources to create greater engagement around your organization . Through the Native Multi-Platform application, you will be able give a more complete view of the company to the public and achieve an interaction that will make your stakeholders feel closer and more informed.

@OptimusMobility

Please RSVP for the event on Monday June 24th! If you can't make it please make sure you change your RSVP status to reflect that!

As always, it is a $5 PWYC suggestion donation at the door.  (HackerNest is a not-for-profit and all proceeds go right back into bringing you great events every month)

Cheers,

Anne-Marie

    I would really like to see decent wine next time. PROTIP: Saperavi costs only 17 bucks and is one of the world's finest wines

      I love wine too! We rely on sponsorship and donations from suppliers to make this event a possibility since we are a not-for-profit. By all means if you, your company or someone you know would like to sponsor wine for the event we would consider it! We have found beer to fit our mandate and budget to date! Thanks!

    Pretty good. They seem to be well attended, but are under-funded. The beer choices were very limited.

      Oops. That wasn't supposed to be a public message. I can pass along the names of people I know at two local breweries, if that'll help. One is a new brewery based out of Surrey/Delta. They seem to be trying to make a name for themselves.

    Would love to connect with the PeaceGeeks presenter! Can't remember your name :) For anyone interested in collaborating or being hired: I'm managing the development of an opensource platform for creating 'choose your own adventure' scenarios with features for healthcare education. This is initially a 6-8 week project, starting in the next few weeks. If you are familiar with the Agile/Scrum framework for development, even better. I don't know yet what programming language would work best for this: if you are a web developer, let's chat! [masked]
