This is "Named Entity Extraction". In the past when I have worked on such problems it's been in a research environment where I have access to fairly sophisticated syntactic analysis tools. "give" is a ditransitive verb; the first noun phrase that follows it is usually the recipient etc. But I believe there are off-the-shelf NE extraction toolkits available. Some of them might require training on annotated data (so they can learn how to identify the NE) others might be usable as-is. Your example is unfortunate -- if the proper noun isn't correctly cased it might throw off some syntax-based tools.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
