Hacker News Seattle Meetup 12

Hacker News Seattle Meetup 12 is here! Come hang out at Facebook's offices* on September 4th to eat good food, drink tasty beer, and listen to Greg Gottesman, Managing Director of Madrona Ventures, speak about the characteristics of a great startup culture.

Thanks to our Premier Sponsor, Outlook.com. Microsoft has just launched their new, free email service and they’re serious about making it the best in the world, and that starts with getting input from users like members of the Hacker News Seattle community. In addition to providing a few other surprises, they're responsible for improving the quality of food at the event!

Big thanks to our venue and the rest of the sponsors for this month:
Twilio, who makes it super easy for web developers to integrate phone calls, text messages, and IP voice communications into their web, mobile, and traditional phone applications.

Thanks to Clipboard, which lets people save and share pages from the web in a way that no other service does – users clip all or portions of web pages retaining layout, images, text and functioning hyperlinks and videos.

And Facebook, as if they need an introduction, is giving people the power to share and make the world more open and connected. They'll be hosting us this month in their awesome new Seattle offices.

See you all on September 4th!

*Like last month, Facebook's office is access controlled. You MUST RSVP (and please RSVP with your real name if possible) in order to be admitted into this event.

I really enjoyed the talk from Greg Gottesman. He was engaging and had a lot of sound advice for entrepreneurs and startup cultures. It was good to get the VC perspective instead of just another founder.

Just heard about this event. It seems there are still 10 spots although the RSVP is closed. Can I go?

Figured out how to add the address. If you are a member of the group and RSVP'd, you should be able to see it now.

FB doesn't want their address to be posted publicly. If you've RSVP'd to the event, you should be able to see the address. If not, I will email it out in the next reminder.

@Chris - They asked me not to post the address publicly, so I'm not. (I'm also deleting posts that publicly list the address to respect their request.)
