My company is currently undergoing a large enterprise software application re-engineering effort. A large part of the effort will involve security. When we get the environments created and sorted out (and tested), we can have presentation back to your group about our experiences.
We are currently setting up an InfoSec group in our company. We are architecting an MVC (client-based) application, with an IaaS platform. Regarding security, we are focusing on IDS, network scanning, pen testing, SET, parameter/URI testing, and honey pot. We can present back to your group when we have the environment working. We are looking at using Linux/Ubuntu and NodeJS for client-side, Win OS/IIS for APIs and database, NginX for reverse proxy (geo-location purposes).
