Strongly related to Caitria's great talk I can recommend the book The Mom Test, by Rob Fitzpatrick. ("How to talk to customers & learn if your business is a good idea when everyone is lying to you"). We at Count3r used it for customer research at MediaMarkt recently and it was very helpful. http://momtestbook.com/

Here are the resources I mentioned during last night's talk. I tried to include the ones that are the most actionable. - Design Thinking process overview: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wmz0r53vqrclqrf/d.fresher.pdf?dl=0

    - Lots of great tools and activities - Design bootcamp deck. http://dschool.stanford.edu/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/BootcampBootleg2010v2SLIM.pdf

    - When, how and why to do user research/prototyping. Buy it. http://www.abookapart.com/products/just-enough-research

I post others occasionally to Twitter @CaitriaONeill. Fun meeting so many of you last night.

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me promoting this weekend's iBeacon Hackathon. GlimwormBeacons and Sanoma and Appsterdam are running the Hackathon at VondelCS and the Amsterdam Economic Board have donated a GOOGLE GLASS as a prize. We are looking not only for programmers but all sorts of skills to make an iBeacon prototype this weekend. If you can come the link is here http://glimwormbeacons.com/experience-days/. Regards

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
