Hacker... in the true, old school definition of the word. I tend to take things apart and put them back together before I read the documentation. I'm of the mentality that one should always strive to meet best practices, but getting the thing working is first and foremost.
Sort of - I work for an agency that mostly builds apps & APIs for startups.
A broad spectrum of experience with things like cryptography, sysops, virtualization, graphic design, content management, streaming video, databases, and both software & web development, focusing on PHP & MySQL.
Fellow techies & devs, with a focus on startups and new ideas. I love the concept of a small group quickly generating a product and having it in users' hands to interact with. What I'd like to get from this is an expanded view of the startup scene (what people are talking about, what they're passionate about, what they're stuck on), make some new connections, and maybe find something cool to be a part of.
Through Meetup and their pretty decent recommendation engine!
I've made somewhat of a career out of finding solutions to unique problems. I've delved into the underworld of the internet, and also been responsible for fortifying server security. I'm most passionate about PHP & MySQL, Node.js, & startups!
