Introduction

I'm Ken Martin. On April 1, I launched The Austin Bulldog, a nonprofit for investigative reporting in the public interest. I also organized the Austin Investigative Reporting Team meetup group.

Are you a hack (content creator, journalist, photographer) or a hacker (developer, designer, engineer)?

I've been a journalist in the three-county Austin metro area since 1981. I've started three new publications since 1995, including In Fact Daily, The Good Life magazine, and The Austin Bulldog.

Are you looking for partners to collborate on a project, and if so, what?

I'm always on the lookout for folks with the skills and energy that will help us do more investigative reporting. One project I have needs a series of maps. Another idea I have would require someone with Flash experience.

I think the group is a terrific idea and I appreciate Cindy Royal's and others efforts to organize it. I have RSVPd intending to attend several events but for various reasons never actualy made it there before. I plan to attend future meetups when possible.
