I am a technical writer, author of over 300 articles about business, technology, and culture.
I am all of the above. After I laboriously made a user manual exactly right, my boss had me put it back the way it was. When I came home, my wife could see that I was upset and asked what was wrong. I told her what happened. I took down a dictionary. "Hack," I read, "a writer who works for pay without regard for personal or professional standards." She replied, "That's OK, honey, most writers have to -quit- their jobs to become hacks." That said, I once wrote a Fortune Cookie in 22 bytes of hex, a pretty good hack.
Thanks Michael. Looking forward to the get together.
Sadly, I have work tomorrow in the evening for today's meetup. However, I will try to stay posted for the next meetup.
Thanks for the actual invite and meeting some of you at the Renassiance H. at the Aboretum. Lately, I took a look at the Tech Ranch in regards to BioTech, BioMetrics, IT and Medical Informatics. Get tired of the constant grind of 'Social Networking' talk. Love the area I'm in and some of the people around me.

Hi Michael. Sorry you won't be able to make it to our meetings anymore. Hopefully you can catch us at a social meetup.
