Pardon the tangential post, but I thought members might be interested.
The Statesman is looking for 10 candidates to spend a couple hours Wednesday night, April 17, as part of a focus group helping to guide development of a new digital product. The ideal candidates should be between 20-30 years old, go out several times a week, be active on social media, have purchased tickets online within the past 30 days and might be self-professed digital natives. Participants will receive a $75 gift card and be provided food and drink during the discussion.
If you are interested, please contact Zach Ryall at [address removed]. Please put "Focus Group" in the subject line.
In addition, if you are more on the Hacker side, the Statesman is also looking for a contract engineer who understands feed structures and the ins and outs of developing against APIs for vendors such as Fandango, Open Table and Zvents. This person would help evaluate different vendor APIs to help focus a new digital product. Contact Ray Marcano at [address removed]. Please put "API/Feeds developer" in the subject line.
