Dear Hacks and Hackers,

It was confirmed at a impromptu global Hacks/Hackers meetup in London last week that our Berlin group is not only one of the youngest but one of the fastest growing. We nearly have 250 people in this group and I'd like to invite you all to our final meetup of the year.

As ever, the focus is on rebooting journalism with ideas, technology and inspiration. Whether you are a journalist who has a hunch on how newspapers could be run better, or a developer who has some code that could improve news aggregation and delivery, this meetup is for you.

It's informal, supportive and tries to not kill its audience with powerpoint. This time, we'll return to the speed-geeking format with 5 or 6 great ideas, pitched 5 or 6 times to 5 or 6 small groups. It's a great way to incubate and develop new ideas, however alpha they may be.

If you'd like to share your idea with some kind ears, please let me know by replying to this mail. We've had success stories already of ideas pitched at #hhber that have turned from seeds into beta platforms. All are welcome to pitch.

We start at 8pm on Monday December 10th, there are cheap drinks and snacks (but it's not a banquet so if you have sugar issues, eat beforehand!). We're back at co-up in Kreuzberg this time.

Thanks, hope to see you there!

Adam and Marta

p.s. Our last hosts ZEIT ONLINE wanted me to tell you about their hack day... so here it is! http://blog.zeit.de/dev/2012/11/15/zeit-online-hackday-23-november-1400/

Thanks to everyone for braving blizzards and the labyrinth of gates and courtyards. Great projects and enthusiasm again!
