I am interested in working on an open data project; I am a programmer and data analyst. Also I would like to learn how to get data from a HI state agency. Contact me if you want to talk about either.

Justin - General state data can be found at http://data.hawaii.go... and mapping (GIS) geodata can be found at http://www.state.hi.u.... Most of the downloadable geodata from DBEDT/GIS will soon be available as REST services. I work mostly with geodata so let me know if you have interests there.

There are a bunch of projects currently underway. One that comes to mind is a bike application that maps the racks and trails. Let me know if you are interested and I can hook you up.
