I'm mostly a hack who dabbles in writing code, mostly to turn crappy government data into something useful, but also building simple Rails apps to share data with non-data-savvy reporters.
I'm very interested in Gov 2.0 issues, having spent much of the last three years beggint, threatening and cajoling government officials into sharing databases that we tax payers have paid to build.
I'm a reporter and computer-assisted reporting specialist on the AJC watchdog team. I came to Atlanta three years ago from the Center for Public Integrity, where I was a senior computer-assisted reporting fellow.
