Hello there! My name is Joanna and I'm The Guardian's Social & Communities Editor. I am the founder of Hacks/Hackers London, which began life as "Ruby in the Pub" - an attempt to teach myself to code!

Hi Joanna, Have you covered bitcoin yet in any of your previous meetups? I'm afraid I've only been to one so far, though I keep RSVPing in the affirmative. I'm planning to come to next week's @ bloomberg, and if you haven't covered bitcoin before, I'd love to do a short introduction as it dovetails nicely with micro-financing
bloggers by rewarding page views.
Thanks for organising last night - will there be badger masks next time?
We would like to invite you to a meeting in the House of Commons hosted by Chris White MP on social enterprise and equality. In 2010 Chris introduced a Private Member's Bill - the Public Services (Social Enterprise and Social Value Bill).
The meeting takes place on Wednesday June 13th at 6.30pm and you can find out more and register at http://www.meetup.com/21stCenturyNetw...![]()

Hi Joanna,
I've just sent an e-mail to the group about the upcoming Over the Air, but we'd love to get the Guardian involved as well...
Could I have a chat with you about the possibilities?
cheers,
Margaret

Hi Joanna, I'm an Italian journalist. I've sent you an email, looking forward to hearing from you soon
OH ok, right..I stand corrected then.. Seemed part of the crew.
Hi Joanna,
Have been thoroughly enjoying the Hacks/Hackers meetups (what a great idea!) Did you ever conquer code? We run a meetup in NY called Ladies Who Code and have decided to start up in the UK in light of the excellent response across the pond.
I was wondering if you or any of your members might be interested in attending. It is pretty tech focussed but promises to be a great evening. Here's the details...http://www.meetup.com/Ladies-Who-Code...![]()
Hope to see you there!
