Hacks/Hackers August event

Time for another meetup! Our next gathering is just a few weeks away. It promises more great presentations, lots of mingling and, yes, beer. Please RSVP so you don't miss out.

Update: We have confirmed three speakers for this event. Thier topics and bios are below. Make sure you RSVP so you don't miss out.

Karl Dubost

Carly Wilkie Steven

Carly is a former SEO Content Manager at the Daily Mail in London and now SEO Consultant for the Montreal Gazette; a wandering Scot and aspiring French-speaker; a committed collector of unread newspapers and long-time victim of information overload.

Topic: Hitting over 77 million unique users in May,  MailOnline (website of  the Daily Mail)  is the biggest newspaper site in the UK and second only to the New York Times globally. I'll discuss how the most important part of SEO's role in achieving these numbers was the ability to marry technical principles with a fundamental understanding of the news production process. Journalism is and should always remain at the heart of newspaper SEO.
