Our Data Warehouse team is looking for software engineers to help support and develop our Big Data infrastructure.

Job Description:

Design, develop and maintain components of "big data" processing and analytical infrastructure that spans multiple technologies. Work with other teams (software engineers, data scientists, business intelligence, etc) to enable and streamline ways of leveraging our data warehousing technologies. Help plan and implement methods to scale our systems. Code features at any and all levels of the architecture, from Web Apps to Map/Reduce jobs to the Operating System.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of developing software (Ruby, Python, C/C++, Java).
Experience with Map/Reduce frameworks, preferably Hadoop/Hive.
Good understanding of relational databases (MySQL) and solid SQL skills.
Good understanding of and experience with high volume web applications.
Good understanding of Operating Systems (UN*X/Linux) and Networks, System Administration experience.
Experience with and passion towards working with Open Source Software.
A creative personality, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail, strong work ethic
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Good communication skills

Qualification Pluses:

Experience with implementation of and general interest in Data Structures and Algorithms.
Understanding of statistics and statistical theory.
Experience with Ruby on Rails.
Experience working on systems handling high volumes of data.
Experience implementing applications that use extensive statistical or optimization technology
Experience implementing machine learning.
Open Source project leadership and contribution.
