Hey Paul, I would be interested in joining you. I'm based out of Denver and am using Hadoop for re-architecting a full fledged financial transactional data processing system currently based on RDBMS. I can commit 2 hours per day for the book.

I'm helping Addison Wesley put together a book on Hadoop that will be
focused on log storage/processing. Currently one person from Cloudera
is interested in working on it and I'm looking for 1-2 more people
that would be interested in being contributing authors. You don't need
to be an expert, just have some experience and interest in diving in
deeper to write a few chapters on the subjet.
If you're interested or even curious, please drop me a line and we can
meet up to discuss.
