Hi,

I have around 20+ years of experience in IT in Oracle Database management, Designing databases, Business Analysis, Developing Logical data models using ERWIN, building data warehouses and as a data architect.

I am planning to switch my career to Big Data field.  I need your suggestion on the following.  I greatly appreciate any direction you can provide.

I am planning to take Administrator's training for Hadoop and pass Hadoop Administrator's certification.

Questions:

1. After passing this administrator's training, is there job market available?
2. What are the salary ranges I can expect on the east coast?
3. Should I also study and pass Hadoop Developer's training or MapReduce training?  I plan to acquire this skill once I put my foot into Hadoop world.

Please advise.

Regards,

Rao
