"Big" Data?

From: Aaron R.
Sent on: Monday, February 18, 2013 2:42 PM
I was going to make a really corny joke about Big Data/Hadoop, but I was completely unable to think of anything better than asking for Data about the movie "Big".  Such as, "Who does Tom Hanks dance on the piano with?"  (Answer, Robert Loggia).  But that was really reaching, and the joke was questionable at best.

That said, there are a TON of emails about jobs on this board so I needed to write something at least a bit unique, so I hoped that ploy worked!

We're looking for engineers to help build out or Data Platform.  Currently we're handling ~30 TB of data per day and that number will be growing very quickly very soon.
We use Hadoop extensively and we're looking for engineers that either have experience with Hadoop (or any flavor of Map Reduce) or a sincere interest in learning.

Take a look at the job description and if it sounds interesting or if you have any questions, please shoot me an email (off-thread) with your information and we can set up a time to chat.

Thanks!
-Aaron

(no agencies please)
