Dear Munich HUG members,
we are really looking forward to the upcoming MongoDB Munich 2012 conference and workshops! http://www.meetup.com/Muenchen-MongoDB-User-Group/events/78156912
As the conference is scheduled for Tuesday 16.10. and the hands-on workshops for the day before, we will have many data nerds here in Munich. We thought it might be a good idea to join forces with the Munich MongoDB User Group and have our opening meetup.
So everybody is invited to our opening meetup on Monday 15.10. at the Hilton Munich Park (conference venue), Salon Van Gogh.
And this is our first topic:
Bernd Zuther, Big Tech Researcher at comSysto will talk about the "Big Data Solyanka".
Solyanka is a special stew from Eastern Europe cooked in a large pot with many tasty ingredients - meats, vegetables and spices. When having Solyanka with friends and family from the same pot you will be faced with one big challenge: picking the best piece of meat!
Having vast amounts of data created at large pace can make valuable information very difficult to extract. A similar challenge. Unless you have the right tools! This talk will show how Apache Hadoop, MongoDB, MongoDB-Hadoop Connector and Spring Data can work together to provide a powerful toolset to address this challenge! Our "Big Data Solyanka".
Snacks and drinks will be served after the talk, nothing new about that. Unless they will be special too...
You're all welcome, hope to see you there!
Your Munich HUG Team
