I thought it'd be cool to get together to play games on Labor Day.

I don't get my rehearsal schedule for next week until a bit later in this week. I'll let you all know.

Hopeful that there will be an audience for non-geeky games! (I love you, geeks. But not your games.)

I have a cat figure for Monopoly I'm really fond of. Does that make Monopoly a geeky game? Or is it all in the eye of the beholder?

      September 3, 2013

    • Sheffi

It is all in the eyes...

I loved playing Seasons and Samurai Sword. Great deception on who was Ninja, Ronin, or Samurai! I'm glad you all enjoyed learning seasons.

    • Sheffi

We just couldn't go on without you...

      September 3, 2013

    • Sheffi

      I'm always a Ninja.

I'm here wearing a pink shirt.

with a stain from dripping lunch on it.

Awesome as always :) Can't wait until the next meetup!

I liked the meetup and the people I played with, but I didn't feel right taking up so much space at panera and it just felt cramped. Wouldn't mind meeting there with fewer people though

    It was fun to play.

Good times. Crowded restaurant but fun games - I saw and/or played: Avalon, Shadow Hunters, Ascension, Bohnanza, Castle Dice, Dominion, Samurai Swords, Seasons.. Disappointed Terra Mystica never managed to hit the tables, but this wasn't the best venue for it - it takes a LARGE table to play on.

Outside of Old Maid and Go Fish what other games is everyone bringing.
If you think I'm bringing any of my $60 games for everyone to drip pizza sauce on you're crazy!
(ok, I'm just kidding. Well, just about the part about not bringing any games, you still have to eat before or after playing)
Bringing.. Ticket to Ride USA, Castle Panic, Settlers of Catan, Forbidden Island, Pandemic, and I'll see what else I can stuff in the bag.

I can leave my copy of Seasons at home, then, if someone will already have it. Hmm, room for something else, then..

      September 2, 2013

    • Richard D.

Glad someone is bringing settlers. I'm tired of playing against the computer. Weather is nice so I'll be riding my bike. Have to cut back on the games I'm bringing. Castle Panic, Forbidden Island, a Zombie one who's name escapes me, and a couple more small ones.

Sheffi? Sheffi? Are you ok? Anything wrong? It's been at least 24 hours and you haven't changed the location.

    August 31, 2013

  • Richard D.

So we were going to meet at.., and then decided on..., till it was changed to.., and now went back to what was decided on.
So far I'm following all this.
I think this is a test to to weed out the wanna-be game players from the real ones.

    August 29, 2013

    • Richard D.

Well at least she didn't change the time back to 1 pm. Oh, wait a minute. Never mind.

      August 30, 2013

    • Sheffi

      More evil laughter and fingers

      August 31, 2013

  • Sheffi

Should I change the time back to 1p????

If the restaurant doesn't mind, I say the more gaming the better.

As long as we keep ordering I doubt they care

      August 29, 2013

  • Sheffi

    Maybe a pot luck?

    August 26, 2013

  • Richard D.

Hey, I just checked out the menu. What gives? No pizza with ham on it.

    August 28, 2013

  • Richard D.

    2 questions...
    1. Sheffi. Beings you have already changed the location 86 times(ok, just 85), if you still wanted to keep it local you could have it here where I work and go back to it being a pot luck with everyone bringing something.
    2. My sons planning on coming. No problem there, he's in his 30's, but then he asked about his kids, 10 and 11. I told him just adults. Did I lie?

    August 28, 2013

    • Sheffi

But maybe some others want to bring kids. Does this apply?

      August 28, 2013

    • Richard D.

No no. Please leave as is. I just didn't want him to come along and find other kids there. (I love the grand kids, but I need a break too)

      August 28, 2013

  • Aaron H.

be prepared for roads being closed because of the grand prix that weekend

    August 26, 2013

    • Sheffi

      I hope so too

      August 27, 2013

    • Sheffi

      venue changed for this reason

      August 28, 2013

  • James C.

Too many people for Panera... Wegman's?

    August 27, 2013

    • Edward

Might be good, away from the city

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
