The Hamlet of Beavercreek represents about 6,500 people living in our area. See the About pages for more information.
We represent the community to Clackamas County, Oregon City, Metro, the State of Oregon, and local jurisdictions and entities. Our purpose is to enhance the livability, sustainability, and functioning of our community, and to direct community planning to preserve the rural character of our area. By joining this group you can be better informed of land use actions, our meetings, and community events.
Our web site is hosted on Meetup.com to take advantage of their privacy, email, and reminder services. To make it easier to find us, the web address is HamletOfBeavercreek.org or meetup.com/HamletOfBeavercreek
The posts on this site, including but not limited to images, links, and comments left by members, are their own and don’t necessarily represent The Hamlet of Beavercreek's positions, strategies, or opinions. Keep it clean and respectful.

"Dr. Charles Lefevre said this about these photos and in response to some more questions I asked: "Those are very convincing photos of squirrel digs and the site looks perfect, although a little on the mature side...."
"Some pf these holes are clearly rodent holes as they have connecting tunnels in the bottoms of the holes. There appears to be two sizes of critters making these holes...."
"This is one of the most defined, newest looking holes in the area. I put my Leatherman down for scale."
"Mycellium, the white frail looking stuff seen here, is the root part of the plant that I am assuming grew the fruiting bodies that filled some of those holes."
"Dr. Lefevre inspired me to go on a truffle foray. I found this likely spot with what I believe to be signs of a truffle patch, though I did not find any truffles. I think the animals got there first...."
"Other holes have surprisingly firm, compacted bottoms, especially given the fluffy duffy nature of the topsoil."
