We will go from Upper Sunrise Recreation Area to Watt Ave. and back. Our average speed for the whole ride (excluding stops) is intended to be 12-13mph, which means speeds on flat straight sections will probably be around 15mph.
We will take a short rest break at Wm Pond on the way back.
Please make sure your bike is in good working order, tires inflated and so on. Bring water, snacks, and you must wear a helmet.
We are not riding in any kind of paceline. And please remember that pedestrians and equestrians have the right of way on this multiuse trail.
You can pay to park for the day in the Sunrise Recreational area (or buy a yearly recreational pass - all monies go right to the park system!)
Sometimes street parking is available in Fair Oaks on the other side of the bridge and also on the park access road off of Sunrise Blvd.
Parking passes are available at local REI stores and also directly from Sacramento County Parks: http://www.msa2.saccounty.net/parks/Pages/Purchase.aspx
