Now with the fall season upon us, you'll notice less daylight after work for evening rides. I have the solution! Nite Riding! It's the funnest way to ride a mountain bike. If you're new at riding in the dark, now is a good time to practice. I recommend having two powerful lamps; one on your helmet and the second on your handlebars. You can find lighting systems at your local bike shop, Amazon and Ebay. We will break off into groups depending on rider turn out.
Novice Group: 6-9 miles of both single track and fire roads. Pace is casual and several ride leaders will ensure you stay on track and return to your cars safely. Elbow and knee pads are recommended.
Intermediate Group: 9-12 miles, pace moderate and skill level medium. Two ride leaders will keep you on track and within rider format. .
Fast Intermediate Group: 12-15 miles, pace will be aggressive. regroups will be short and two ride leaders will keep you pushing through the single track trails at a fast pace.
All groups will travel in the same direction. Please bring out a well tuned bike, a helmet, plenty of water and two fully charged lights. As always, ride safely and at your own risk. We will tailgate after the ride so please be sure to bring something to share. Happy trails!
