Even though Phred is laid up for a while, Kim and I will do our best to carry on in his absence.
Please join us for a Cinco de Mayo ride that is not too fast, not too slow, not too far. For strong beginners and boomers (you should be comfortable with shifting /braking and hills) who are looking to ride a more slow and social pace. This is a moderate ride for beginners with some short, but challenging hills and is about 13 miles total. You should be comfortable riding 10 mph at a recreational pace on the flats. Remember, THIS RIDE IS FOR FUN and NOT INTENDED TO BE A TRAINING RIDE OR A RACE.
This is a no rider left behind ride and will be swept. We will stop at the top of all major hills to rest and catch our breath. We will take breaks as needed to ensure all riders are ready to continue. Meeting at 8:30 am and ready to roll at 8:45 am. The plan is to ride for about 3 hours including out to Dotons Pt.
All riders are expected to have mountain bikes in sound working condition. Not a trail for hybrid bikes. Please bring a spare tube (not a patch kit), water (more than 12 ozs) and a light snack if you feel the need.
As always, HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. If you are unable to show up, please update your RSVP a minimum of 2 hours before the start time of the event. Rain will cancel. Check calendar a few hours before the ride for any updates.
If you have any question or runnng late, please call Terry [masked]
