
I plan on racing the sierra cup mtb series this year. There are seven races total. The first is the Rockhopper on 5/12/12. Below are the details of the race. I plan on driving up the morning of the race. Let me know if you'd like to car pool?
CROSS COUNTRY - 11am start time
9.5 mile loop with 1,600 ft of elevation gain per lap. Lung burning steep climbs, awesome downhill sections, great
singletrack, and technical sections to test your bike handling skills. $400 Pro/Cat 1 purse by fastest times.
3 laps (28.5 miles) - Pro/Cat 1(Expert) Men, Pro/Cat 1(Expert) Women, and Open Singlespeed;
2 laps (19 miles) - Cat 2(Sport) Men, Cat 2(Sport) Women, Open Men 60+, and Clydesdale (200+lbs.);
1 lap (9.5 miles) - Cat 3(Beginner) Men, Cat 3(Beginner) Women, Junior Women 10-18*, Junior Men 10-14.
Age groups will be assigned during online registration.to do 2 laps, will be decided by majority at the riders meeting.

A 2.4 mile technical course with passing sections. Includes switchbacks, technical off camber turns, enough pedaling
to burn your lungs and 800ft of elevation drop.
Allow for at least 30 minutes ride time to the start line
from registration, please be prompt!
Categories will go in order with 1 minute intervals between riders, Prereg
start list posted online on May 11. Categories are: Pro/Cat 1(Expert)/Open Men, Pro/Cat 1(Expert)/OpenWomen, Cat 2(Sport) Men, Cat 3(Beginner) Men, Cat 2/3 Women, Junior Men, Junior Women.
Registration:
Registration opens at 6:30 am and closes 15 minutes prior to start of race. Located across the
main parking lot, next to the bathrooms. Registration online is encouraged to save you time.

Pre-Reg closes on May 10, at 12 Noon.
Fees are $40 per
event($25 for Juniors). Pre-register for both the XC race and Super-D and get a discount of $10.00. Late
fee of $10.00 for race day registration
. Race entry includes lunch and one ticket for the post race product
raffle(must be present to win). 2012 USAC License Required for all categories except Pro. One day license
available at registration for $5.00. Small classes may be combined. Awards to 3 places in each category.
Directions:
Lagoon Valley Regional Park, Vacaville. I-80 Eastbound from San Francisco, take Pena Adobe
exit, after stop sign, drive straight into park (.1 miles). 1-80 Westbound from Sacramento, take Pena Adobe
exit, turn right at stop sign (.5 miles) to Pena Adobe road, turn left into park. There is a tollbooth and a $3.00
fee to enter the park. Marshals will guide you to the main parking lot.
