Every time I ride my mtb, it's like a mini vacation. Wanna ride with me?
Moab Utah trails, Horsethief trail-CO, Gooseberry Mesa-UT, Mammoth, Ford Ord (2013 Sea Otter course), Flume Trail & surrounding Tahoe area trails, Forest Hill Loop Divide, Salmon Falls, Cronan Ranch, Skyline-Napa, Rockville, Annadel trails, ScottsFlat, Granite Bay, Lake Natoma, Olmstead Loop, Confluence, Downieville, Bullards Bar.
Any with rocks, drops, and lifts.
To be encouraged to ride more and explore new trails. Make lasting friendships.
Friendly group of people and there are always plenty of rides posted that accommodate for various skill levels. I'm always looking forward to opportunities to ride with this group.
Thanks Vida. Unfortunately I will be unable to attend on the 2nd but leading some rides up around whiskeytown would be great.
If you just got in, you must have had an epic trip! Hope it was good. Thank you for the complements. Couchsurfing did work out well - I scored GREAT hosts in Scottsdale as well. I guess I'm just too social to enjoy staying alone in hotels. Also, if you're ever in Scottsdale, McDowell State Park is gorgeous riding!
Hope to meet up with you (or other Hammerin's) in Tahoe.
This is the guy that has ridden with Brian to Sacto from Antelope. I haven't been able to ride on Thursday nights but I wanted to let brian know that my road bike got stolen from my garage. It is a real bummer. Can you have him contact me? I have a new bike and hope to see him on the trail. my number is [masked]. Thanks, Bob
Just wanted to say thanks for the info on Gooseberry! It was a BLAST. I managed to get it all in - the south rim, the point, the north rim and then did an out and back on wheeler(?). And was only 6:30 when I shuttled the practice loop back to parking! WOW. What views. The point was the high point (pun). Pam and Tom are the couchsurf hosts in Park City. I HIGHLY recommend you contact them (couchsurfing.com).
Would love to see you and Brian (or other hammerin's) in Tahoe! Mytchell.
Vida--- Welcome aboard. FATRAC has been working closely with State Parks to gain more equitable access for over 15 years. We have met with Park Superintendents and other trail managers to try to convince them to change the designations of some trails to allow mountain bikes. There was a new policy adopted at the state level that we hope will streamline the Change of Designation process. Being part of this MeetUp site and joining FATRAC (fatrac.org) are the best ways to stay informed.

Hey Vida! It's been a while. I've been able to ride again and I am signed up for the Applegate Trail on Saturday. Are you doing that ride?
