Meet with local campers and hikers to discuss, demonstrate, and inform about using a hammock for outdoor adventures. This ancient way to sleep is making a comeback among outdoor adventurers, but many folks don't know, or understand, what it's all about.
These are not the rope hammocks in your backyard, these are camping hammocks; light, tough, and best of all...stable. They will protect you from bugs, keep you away from those pesky critters that sneak around on the ground, and provide you one of the best night's sleep you've ever had outside.
Hammock camping has allowed many people who no longer hike, or camp, with the ability to get back out there again. Sore backs and painful hips are forgotten when using a hammock. No concerns about rocks, roots, underbrush, uneven ground, or waking-up only to discover a lake has formed around your tent.
This group's purpose is to educate and share innovations. All 4 seasons are open to hammocks and we will help each other learn how to sleep in luxury regardless of what Mother Nature sends our way. Join the fun and get off the ground.
Oh, and no you won't sleep like a banana; unless you want to.
