Burns Night Supper - 3 course meal, Live music and Dancing

Enjoy a fantastic evening of Scottish culture, food and drink. The night will kick off with the Haggis being piped in by a real Scottish bagpiper (kilt and all!) followed by recitals of Robbie Burns poetry.  A wonderful three course meal will then be served  (main course being Haggis, neeps and tatties of course!) with a complimentary whisky toast. (Vegetarian Haggis is available. Let me know if you would want this when you RSVP)

There will be a bar open where you can purchase wine and other beverages. Then you can dance the night away to a live scottish music and do the reels. This is Home-Start in Waverley's main fundraiser for the year and is extremely popular. People come back year after year as it is such a fun event. Home-Start support families facing difficulties who have at least one child under 5.

To find out more about Home-Start in Waverley go to:

The cost is only £27.50. I have limited tickets available. Information on how to obtain a ticket will be sent to you after you have RSVP'd for the event.

The venue is walking distance from Farnham Railway Station for those of you who want to come by train.

A fantastic evening of fun. Well done Linda & all at Home-Start for a superb evening. I didn't realise how knackering Scottish dancing could be!

Great evening spent with friends old and new, enjoyed the haggis and even the chaos of the Scottish country dancing! Head's not feeling too bad considering the whiskey consumption....Great credit to Linda for another impeccable job at organising for no less than THREE meetup groups - Respect!

Dress code for this event for men is ideally a tartan kilt or black tie. If you don't have either than smart jacket and trousers will be accepted. For the women, please wear a nice evening dress, short or long. Add a tartan brooch or sash if you can to give a Scottish feel. Or if you have a tartan dress all the better!

I'm going to need to book accommodation for this MeetUp. Is Aldershot Travelodge the nearest budget hotel? Do any of the females attending wish to go halves on a room?
