Do you love excellent quality food? Join me at one of my all time favourites, Kitsch 'n d'or in Southsea nr Portsmouth, you won't be disappointed!

For those of you if no transport there is Portsmouth & Southsea Rail station about 15 minutes walk away.

There are 2 set menu's - Saveur de Tradition £25.50 or Chateau de Menu Royale £28.50.   Note: You CANNOT mix and match i.e. all your food choices come from one menu.

Note:  Dessert choice will be from the dessert board that evening.

Crème aux petite champignon

Rich chestnut mushroom soup accompanied with a dollop of crème fraiche and bacon dust

Terrine du forestiere

Our home-made terrine following a classic recipe of goose,confit duck and chicken liver finished with
cognac served with herb salad and onion confit

Salade aux cherve chaud

A bistro favourite of oven roasted goats cheese on a French salad and drizzled with french honey

Pot au feu a la kitscn d'or

Winter cooking should be done slowly and this dish is a classic example . Very slow cooked pieces of oxtail and beef in stock and wine finished with French garden roots smoked pork and herbs

Fricasse du peasant

Wild locally sourced breast of pheasant pan fried with cepes and muscat grapes, finshed with a rich madeira sauce

Sautéed leeks with raclette cheese baked in the oven in a buttered pastry

Saint jacques poulee a la pont aven

Seared scallops with black pudding and bacon dust finished with apple chutney

Pan fried duck gesier with a winter herb salad and red onions and grated truffle

Souris d' agneau roti crème de ail

Slow roasted shank of south coast lamb with a rustic roasted garlic cream

Saumon en croute

Fillet of scottish salmon wrapped in herb cheese and baked in puff pastry

Entrecote avec la beurre aux poivre

Prime 10oz english sirloin cooked in the pan with a rich 5 peppercorn and herb butter

Charcoute de alsace

Smoked pork, roasted belly montbeliard sausage and market sausage all served up on wine sauteed alsace cabbage& seasonal vegetables

Plat vegetarian
