NIN and Soundgarden

August 5th at Farm Bureau Live. Tix go on sale this Friday. I am not a lawn girl so I will probably buy a seat. If someone wants to sit as well- let me know and I can buy a couple on Friday. If others go lawn this will still be a great show to hang out at.

The seat upgrades were awesome as well

It's okay, Joel. The pizza makes up for everything. Harvest found us. It's all good. I'd love to make the pre-concert tailgate a thing. It seems like the only good way of finding each other.

It's my bumner lysdexia that confounds me. The foldy table comes in handy for the occasional roadside appendectomy or emergency earwig extraction. The fact that it can double as a suitable dining table is an added bonus. Pre-show tailgating was the way to go, Alexis; I would agree!

This was seriously the concert that everyone at work was talking about. I've gotten my self some work cred.

Good times! HUGE thanks to Joel and Alexis for helping to get us together! They really went above and beyond and I thoroughly enjoyed my pre-show pizza and beer!!!

It was no trouble! It was a great way to hang out before the show!

It was all Joel. He had to deal with me being lost and stayed on the phone with me for 20 minutes.

That was awesome. I lost some hearing during soundgarden but sort of worth it. So good that soundgarden is back together and nin rocks. I am not gay (not that there is anything wrong with that), but Chris Cornell looks really good 4 a man of 50 years. Rock on my fellow concert goers, rock on.

Yep, I got home and realized both of my socks had been completely rocked off! Chris sounded amazing!

so does anyone going to this thing actually want to meet up and sit/stand with each other. Isn't the whole idea of all this is so we can meet new people/not go alone/maybe even find love (kidding on the last thing..well mostly...for me not now I am cool....but I mean you never know.....I am talking generally after all). If so email me, and I will give you my cell.

I got an email from Harvest (who is awesome for those that don't know her). As she mentions in the email, she is seated and does not have a smart phone. So for people on the lawn, who are just going to the show, and maybe want some way to just stand together, you guys are welcome to text me, and I can do a group text, as I mentioned earlier. This way we can all keep in touch, especially if we don't arrive around the same time. But I hope we all get a chance to meet at the gate as Harvest suggested, or even meet to eat before the show as Alexis suggested. Last thing for those without tickets Craigslist often has bargains and you probably won't be murdered.

Alexis, I plan on being there by 5 pm, probably earlier though. Bring whatevs! I can send an email with the GPS location once I am settled. You'll need a smart fone (or a friend with one, Harvest) to map to the location. Peace of cake.

Sounds like we're going to try to meet ahead of time in the parking lot for a bit of tailgating and pizza- eating. I sent my # out last week, please reach out if you need it and we'll be sure we can find each other there!

so everyone knows I am not the organizer, but I have given my # to everyone who replied to this. And if anyone else posts something or emails me I will do the same. If everyone concerned texts me at some point, I will send out a group text so everyone can actually "meet up", at the concert if they choose. Additionally, Alexis if you have room in your cleavage could you bring me an almond butter and fig preserve sandwich on toasted good quality multigrain bread.

$20 lawn seats until July 6th

    July 1

    • Alexis

It's probably worth buying it now. I think it would be really easy to get rid of a $20 ticket, plus it would probably be more expensive at the gate.

Dam u and your logical thought

      1 · July 2

  • Kim R.

Is there a big difference in price between lawn and seats? As long as I'm taking on making my decision, I may be watching from the parking lot!

    May 16

    • Sheila

I think there is about a $20 difference when I bought mine. The lawn was 38 before tax and the seats closest to the lawn were 51 before tax. I think the closer seats were 70-110. Buying two tickets it was lawn all the way for me haha.

Anybody going with lawn tickets? Debating on getting seats or lawn tickets. Lawn wasn't bad when The Boss came to town.

    • Sheila

Yeah I was watching some performances from that tour and it bummed me out a little. Maybe all that absinthe finally catching up to him. Lol. I'm not sure why I've never seen him before, he has been one of my favorites since a young age. I saw so many videos from last year where he sounded pretty cruddy and drunk. Lol. I hope he goes on tour again after this next album and gets his shit together! Who knows with him though. Yeah I think maybe that crowd was the reason BLS didn't have an encore. I got an "it's Monday" vibe for sure. The Norva was a pretty cool place though!

      1 · May 16

    • Monica

The norva is great! The National (same ownership) in Richmond is cool too...if you haven't visited Richmond yet, you should check it out. Great music and lots of shows...it's where Lamb of God and Gwar ;-) started... great shopping and art scene too...I went to art school there. Let me know if you wanna get together for a show sometime :-)

      May 14

  • Harvest

Tix went on pre-sale this morning before this was announced officially so I already got my tic. But, I think this would be a fun show to meet at or carpool to given how crazy parking is, and at least we can be a "group" if we're not all sitting together. Let me know if you get tix!
