Yorktown Independence Day 8K Run/5K Walk

A nice little 8k run on the Fourth of July. I've done this in years past, and there's a really good turnout of competitive runners. The venue was changed this year, but the run still goes through the Yorktown battlefields - a very scenic route.

Registration goes from 6:30 to 7:30 AM the day of, with the run beginning at 8 AM. You can also preregister online at www.happypaceraces.com. Registration is $25 for the 8K and 5K. The 8K is officially timed, and the top 3 finishers overall and the top 3 finishers for each age category receive awards. All participants receive "A Multi-colored short-sleeve t-shirt".
