SURYA YOGA (Basic)

Surya means the Sun in Sanskrit. Yoga means to connect (to merge/unite).
Pranic healing with Solar power is a purifying and rejuvenating practice. It may be used for self healing and for radiating healing energy to others. When you absorb the radiant energy of the spiritual Sun, all toxins of the system are flushed out. All negativity such as stress, tension, anxiety and depression is eliminated by daily practice (at sunrise or sunset preferably) which takes less than 5 minutes once we are fluent with the technique.
Absorption of sunlight and 'Prana' (intelligent life energy also called 'Chi') into the third eye centre also affects the secretion of melatonin in the pineal gland, a hormone activated during deep sleep and directly linked to amount of sunlight a person is exposed to.
Melatonin decreases in production after youth and eventually stops with old age. The regular practice of Surya Yoga, by increasing the production of melatonin, improves the body's natural capacity to heal itself during deep sleep, even in old age. The result is more effective sleep hours and slowing of the ageing process.
The Surya Yoga (basic) has two parts:
1) Surya Kavach (forming the protective armour of light)
2) Swashan Jwala (Fire-breathe to detox and rejuvenate)

Hamsa means a 'white swan' in Sanskrit which symbolises our soul. The Hamsa Breath meditation is also called 'The way of the White Swan'.
The way of the white swan is an evolutionary meditation that reveals the soul consciousness eventually with more and more advanced practice.
In its basic form, it brings ease and calmness inside the practitioner. It heals negative emotions and releases unwanted stored emotions.
It helps in experiencing peace of mind and opening and healing of the Heart.
The technique taught is the basic form called 'Golden Lotus Meditation'.
