John and Stella Gyrkos, Jane and Jon Zeiger, David, Pat Enos, Kim, Nancy, and special co-conductor Terry Tucker invite you to celebrate the holiday season in ukulele-style! The Best Holiday Ukulele Party Ever is happening on Tuesday, December 17 in the Main Banquet Room of the spectacular Dana Point Yacht Club.
Enjoy breathtaking views of Dana Point Harbor, great food and drink, a mix of Christmas songs plus your favorite ukulele standards, and, most of all, enjoy greeting old friends and meeting new ones as ukulele players come together from all over Southern California to play, sing, and share the festive spirit of the season.
This is a free event - so bring as many friends with you as you’d like.
Very special thanks are owed to John Gyorkos for his tireless efforts in setting things up with the yacht club. The same goes for Jane Zeiger. Thanks to John MacDonald, too, for his guidance and sage advice. And thanks especially to all of the wonderful members, officers, and managers of the Dana Point Yacht Club - including our own John and Stella and Jane and Jon, yacht club members, for their kind hospitality
The music starts at 6 PM. We’ll take a 45 minute break at 7 PM to allow for refreshments and lots of hob-nobbing with our old and new ukulele pals. Then, the music will start again and we’ll play until 9 PM. Can’t play ukulele? No problem. Come along to chat, sing, eat, drink, and be a much-welcomed part of this special evening.
There will be plenty to eat and drink. Order appetizers, entrees, and desserts right off the Dana Point Yacht Club menu. The food is great and so are the prices. Pizza, wings, chicken and pulled pork sliders, fish ’n chips, quesadillas, a fajita salad, chicken or steak tacos - well, you get the idea. It’s perfect ukulele-playing food. Order anytime throughout the evening and munch while you strum. Or wait until the break and then really chow down.
As you know, ukulele playing can be a thirsty business and so there will also be a full cash bar set-up for us right in the banquet room.
It’s going to be a great evening of fun, music, and holiday spirit - and, as always, lots and lots of aloha.
Directions can found on this page and there is plenty of free parking right at the yacht club.
Please join us for this very special celebration.
