Part II and Part III of Handel's Messiah !!
The excitement continues from the concert on December 1st (Part I), as the South Pasadena Community Chorus begins rehearsals on Parts II and III.
Exquisite choruses and stirring solos as heard in Part I continue throughout the entire work entitled, "Messiah". The dramatic exposure of this story shows many of Handel's finest works for solo, chorus, and orchestra.
Among the discoveries you will make is where the "Hallelujah chorus" really belongs in this work. As you know, Hallelujah comes later in the piece: it is written as the end of Part II. Well, if that is the end of Part II, you can only imagine what the scale of scope of the ending of Part III is - simply breathtaking.
Mark your calendar now for rehearsals that being in January, and a performance date of Sunday, March 16th - 4 p.m.
Bring a friend: especially if the friend sings tenor or bass! :)
