Whether you want to find out the best way to paint your bedroom, fix your lawnmower, or design your home-built aircraft, this group is for anyone wants to do it themselves. It doesn't matter if you have zero skills or a lifelong handyperson, this group is for EVERYONE that has interest in this topic.
I had the idea this group after watching some you tube videos about making your own wind turbine for household energy. The video states this can be done with some basic products from your local hardware store. I thought that this would be great for the family cottage.
I thought this project could be a lot more fun and potential more effective if I were to find someone that has already done it and could share their trials, errors and Eureka moments!
This type of knowledge sharing could happen for any type of home, auto, boat, gadget, hobby project that one would like to learn from others, or teach others how to do.
A typical meeting would give each person a chance to share what they are wanting to accomplish or are currently working on, and what problems or questions they have. Other attendees can share their experiences.
Ultimately, each meeting will feature a presentation from a member who has successfully taken a project from start to finish.
We may go to members' houses, to look at completed projects, or help the member complete a project. The skilled members can demonstrate how to do it, while the others learn. And, the homeowner gets free labor!
For those interested, we can create a phone or email list of each member, with their special skills listed, so we can contact the member when we need their help.
We want to be a group that is there for it's members and guests when they have a problem or question about their homes, cars, hobbies, and technology of today, and the future. We will provide camaraderie to each other in their endeavors and goals.
Please let us know what project you are planning or what projects you have completed in the past. Or anything else you would like us to know about you.
Thanks for checking us out and hope to see you at the next meeting.
