Hangout 4.5 - summer drinks, connecting and networking, exploring ideas and fun!

  • July 2, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

We have decided to create Hangout 4.5 as an informal networking event for you to meet your peers and for us to connect you with new like-minded entrepreneurs and professionals. Connections and networking in a relaxed setting, giving us all the chance to discuss opportunities and challenges over a few drinks.

The first Hangout 4.5 will take place on 2 July 2013, at Cargo (London), Rivington Street.

Our sponsors VentureHarbour and Privax are generously buying us the first couple of rounds of drinks. With VentureHarbour offering you a chance to win a digital marketing audit for your company. See below for full details - and have your business cards ready!

If you would like to sponsor this evening or a future Hangout 4.5 with a round of drinks or two, please contact us, the 2Pears.

Win a digital marketing audit for your company

On the night, Venture Harbour will be running a business card raffle to offer three companies attending Hangout 4.5 a free digital marketing audit that outlines opportunities in your company's search, social, content, conversion, and mobile strategy. Be sure to bring your business cards to enter!

Thanks to all of you who joined us for the first Hangout 4.5 yesterday. We hope that you found the evening useful, meeting both old and new connections, and having interesting and inspiring discussions. We all owe a big thank you to our sponsors Venture Harbour and Privax with HideMyAss! for getting the conversations going by sponsoring the first rounds of drinks.

Hangout 4.5 will be back for an evening in September. The date will soon be announced via meetup.

A great event; well organised and a nice crowd of a sensible size. A suggestion for future would be active facilitation to encourage mingling.

Thanks Pete for joining us and for the feedback. We actually do try to introduce and connect people with each other, and did quite a bit of that last night. Please do come and see Petra or myself next time so that we know who you are and what you do in order for us to get you connected to relevant people in the room.

I am sorry i wont be able to make, was looking forward to meeting up. I have had an issue i have needed to resolve. Have a great night :)

Not sure if the case tonight, but in the past Cargo have had nightclub-style door security and required photo ID. You also might be frisked. BTW, drink prices at the Cargo bar can be extortionate (over £30 for a couple of large spirits), at least on this occasion there are some free ones!

    July 2, 2013

    • Petra J.

A list with all your names will be on the door. No id should be required. Our private area is directly on the left as you walk through the doors.

Sorry...I changed my reply... I will not be coming... when i found out that the meeting is at cargo i changed it... it simply does not work.... its a dump hole and just an excuse to drink...... I am into business and networking with business minded people. thank you

    July 2, 2013

    • Petra J.

We have private room there tonight which will work well for networking. We have been there before for similar events which have worked well.

Think its a bit harsh calling it a dump hole (strange phrase), plus it wont filled with loud music and hipsters.

  • Graham R.

Sorry - now have to be in Windsor this evening. I hope you have a great meeting and look forward to seeing you all next time.

My start-up, Ginicam, has developed a brand new fully interactive video broadcasting (and conferencing) technology. It is unique because:

    1. It is not flash based.
    2. It uses very little bandwidth.
    3. It's highly optimized and secure.
    4. There is no limit to the number of users who can simultaneously engage in a live video broadcast at any given time (engage: as in a two-way video vs simple txt chat).

Our first proof of concept is a platform for people to buy and sell services and engage with celebrities in real-time.

We're also offering a white label solution to our corporate partners that require any sort of customized video conferencing or broadcasting solution. It's ideal for internal communications, customer engagement or as a premium service for your customers.

I'm happy to discuss any or all of the above further tonight but you can always ping me at: [masked] for more information.

    Best,

    Jon Prove
