Lindsay: Thank you so much for inviting us! The food and the company was fabulous and I hope we can do it again soon!

Thank you again Lindsay and Scott! I enjoyed meeting everyone, and I am crazy about the food that you made for us. I cannot wait until your cookbook comes out so that I can make that nacho cheese and chorizo!!

Thanks to Lindsay and Scott for hosting such a great evening. I'm going to be dreaming about that vegan cheese!

Thanks everyone for making the first New York City Happy Herbivore Meetup a success!

Lindsay - did I miss your address?

Wish I could be there!!! Can't wait to read all about it!

Great! I love having directions! I assume you would prefer a red for sangria. Let me know if that is incorrect. And the only thing I have super strong preferences is that I hate fennel, but if that is a significant part of something I am sure I can work around it and don't want to make a big deal.

Lindsay: As Wed. gets closer, do you have an idea of what you would most prefer I bring? Flowers, wine, dessert, salad, something else? Don't want to bring something you already will have a lot of!

I am so excited to taste Lindsay's food cooked by her! Anytime after 6:30 works for me, but 8 is fine also. Would you prefer a potluck contribution or some wine or flowers?

Sounds fun! Earlier works for me. No allergies here and I love small, friendly dogs. :) I can't believe I may get to go to a celebrity chef's apt! I can make some vegan cookies to bring to take some of the cooking/baking off HH if you'd like.

I'd also be good with going into Manhattan for an HH dinner - I wish I had enough samples of my vegan cheeses from Switzerland to bring, but alas I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be enough!

The only place I have heard about in Brooklyn is Sun in Bloom but that is not open for a late dinner. I am happy to try anything or to consider Manhattan and of course would be honored to see where Lindsay makes her magic happen!

Doh! I tend to forget about Williamsburg now that I don't live there anymore, haha. There's also foodswings: http://www.foodswings.net/ which I've never been to, tho it's not very low fat sounding, but rockin' raw certainly is: http://rockinraw.com/
Talk about this Meetup
I will try my best to be there this time!

Posted by Dawne June 10, 2010 at 12:49 PMI would recommend V-Spot: http://www.yelp.com/biz/the...
or 'Snice: http://www.yelp.com/biz/sni...
is good too but more lunch-y sort of menu I think. Wild Ginger: http://maps.google.com/maps...
Since this is sort of a dinner meeting, I'd probably go with either Dao Palate or V-Spot or Wild Ginger.
Posted by Dawne June 10, 2010 at 12:29 PMThe only vegan place that I've been to in Brooklyn: http://daopalate.com/
I usually stick to Manhattan for vegan places so I'm not too sure about the places in Brooklyn...
