hi guys! we are back and ready to play and learn! judah will be thrilled to hear about a baseball theme! i think it might be fun to 'paint' with food laura as long as the pool is handy afterward! and i would love to sit down with the mamas...maybe have a ladies night out and discuss both curriculum for our time together and curriculum that we use at home. i would be willing to host or meet somewhere more in the middle...can everyone bring their calendars so we could figure out a good time? oh yes and the bee theme is fun too! we have one mitt and one bat...we do have a couple of baseballs but they are very hard...maybe i will bring a few softer easier target balls. :)

I will volunteer for the schoolhouse, but I've been the one taking care of the wee ones that I haven't had a chance to see what you all have been doing in there. Could you tell me a little bit about it? Also, I think we should aim for having a lesson or hands on activity for the kids a little too young for the classroom.
If we're doing t-ball, then how about a baseball theme? It's not my favorite topic, but we could roll with it. We could learn -AT words, bat, hat, chat, pat, etc.
I agree we've been trying to do too much as well. What if we got a bit more organized? The school year is beginning in a month so we have plenty of time to figure it out. Maybe we can discuss this Tuesday?

I can bring a Tee and a bat! Randomly---I think at some point it would be fun to do a Bee theme! I have a pre-owned (lol) beehive that even still has (brace yourself) some bees in it who never quite made it out. A little sad, but cool for the kids to see up close. We are going camping this weekend so wont have time to prepare a schoolhouse lesson, but I am happy to do the week after.

We could stick with the beach theme, or go for the paint-yourself-with-food idea! I'm a bit insane, I guess, but it sounds fun to me. Also, does anyone want to volunteer to do school-house time this week? I think that if we have circle time, one activity and school time (which could maybe relate to the theme, depending) that should be enough 'stuff'per week. Seems like we're always overplanning. Keep wanting to do some group games, Teeball or something... anyone have a Tee? And a ball and bat..?
