The email I received said that your supposed to also print off a form attached to the email, providing emergency contact info and they stated it's your ticket to get on the bus

      March 14

    • Melissa

You're supposed to print off your confirmation email. The 'bus rider form' will be waiting for us to fill out at Tilted Kilt. THAT form then becomes our ticket to board the bus.

      1 · March 14

  • Mike

I just received my confirmation email as well! Looking forward to it. I have plenty of time to paint myself green :-)

Just got an email suggesting check in at 10:45 @ Tilted Kilt. Bus starts loading at 11:30. Should be enough time to get a wee Irish.

    2 · March 13

  • Melissa

Bill....why and how did you sign up twice? I'm guessing you have two accounts. Maybe one for your computer and one for a meetup app?

    March 12

  • Lois

I'm finally feeling better. So, what this time ? Mother Nature. Sorry, will be there next time.

    March 12

  • Melissa

I am officially switched!! If you have not done so please call them and switch your ticket to Novi. [masked] Jessie is the woman I spoke with and who will help you!

    March 10

  • Lisa

For anyone who hasn't RSVP'd Yes yet, tickets are still available. Buying tickets is really easy now; you won't have to deal with the fun of switching.

    March 7

  • Lisa

After a few attempts, I finally got a verbal confirmation that I have been switched to Novi. I'm glad Mike posted about the time change - I asked and they confirmed - Novi bus leaves at 11:15. They recommend everyone arrive 30 -45 minutes ahead of time for check-in. For those still trying to confirm, I recommend calling in addition to emailing. If you get voice mail, call back later in addition to leaving a voice message. I'm ready for that drink(s) now!

    2 · March 7

  • Mike

The only thing that could make this more fun would be if we were to change our clocks NEXT week..... :-)

    2 · March 7

  • Mike

Oh boy..... Since my last set of lectures was so much fun, here's part 2: Just received a generic email from The Social Connection stating that there is only one Novi bus departure time and IT IS NOW SET FOR 11:15.

    March 7

  • Robin C

ok... Novi works for me as well..

    March 5

  • Melissa

Can everyone please respond and tell me where they prefer to catch the bus from? Royal Oak or Novi? I believe the majority will want Novi based on where they live but I don't know some of you. I'm debating either changing it to Novi or we can go in two groups from both locations down there and meet up at a specific location in Cork town as soon as we get off the bus.

    March 2

    • Lisa S

I prefer Novi and emailed them to ask to change. Haven't received a response yet

      March 4

    • Lynn

      I would do Novi.

      March 5

  • Mike

Sounds like I was not clear in my original message.

I will try to clarify and I apologize in advance for maybe being a little verbose, but my crystal ball sees people arriving at the Novi location expecting to get on a bus even though they never did anything to formally change locations.

I am on the Social Connection email list so I received a generic email stating they added the Novi location. I called to ask if I could change locations. The information I posted was what I was told on the phone so I thought I would pass it along. I never meant to imply that your location would automatically be changed.

If you want to change locations, REPLY TO YOUR ORDER CONFIRMATION EMAIL ASKING TO CHANGE YOUR RESERVATION FROM ROYAL OAK TO NOVI. BE SURE TO SPECIFY WHICH PICK-UP TIME YOU WANT FOR THE NOVI LOCATION. I'm out of characters, to be continued......

    March 4

    • Dave H.

I traded emails with the Social Connection folks too. Here's their reply: Yes, we are busing people out of Novi at the Tilted Kilt.
Let me know if your group would like to switch over to the Novi location.
We are more than happy to make that change for you guys, If you could please have you or anyone else that may like to switch,
to please reply to their order confirmation/receipt to let us know which bus time and location you would like to switch to.

      March 4

    • Melissa

Thank you both Mike and Dave for the info! I would also prefer to leave from Novi, however, I have at least 2 people from the group that live in Royal Oak-although I have not heard from them as of yet. I'm going to send them an email to see if they would mind if they leave from Novi. If not, because I have posted it as leaving from Royal Oak, I will then ride with those that prefer that location..... stay tuned.

      March 4

  • Mike

I just called them again to confirm what I was told last week. It is still the same. However, if you don't receive a new order confirmation email within a day or two, call them. Regarding a place to meet if people are split between Royal Oak and Novi, maybe where the bus drops us off might be good. Keep in mind, the Novi buses will probably arrive about 20-30 minutes after the Royal Oak buses.

Something else to keep in mind..... There will be A LOT of people boarding the buses (approx. 400 if the eight bus count is accurate) and there will be a lot MORE people in Corktown. Trying to keep a group of 15 together may be pretty difficult. The Party Bus web site is:
    http://www.stpattyspartybus.com

    Hope this helped.....

    March 4

  • Melissa

Novi is closer for me.I prefer to go with the majority of the group also. :)

    March 4

  • Mike

Top 'o the afternoon to ya.... I just saw the email from The Social Connection stating they have added the Tilted Kilt in Novi as another St. Pats party bus pick-up/drop-off location (same times, 10:30/4:00 and Noon/5:30).

    Read carefully:
If you have already purchased your bus ticket(s) and would like to use the Novi location instead of the Royal Oak location, REPLY TO YOUR ORDER CONFIRMATION EMAIL ASKING TO CHANGE YOUR RESERVATION FROM ROYAL OAK TO NOVI. BE SURE TO SPECIFY WHICH PICK-UP TIME YOU WANT FOR THE NOVI LOCATION. You should receive a new order confirmation email.

Not this time. That was for Derby Girls. I just got my own this time. I actually bought these before the derby. Otherwise I could have bought ten and sold them on the black market for $100 each :-)

Of course, I would need to find that market first.

    1 · February 22

    • Melissa

I already have mine, Lynn. As do a lot of others. I suggest that if you don't get enough people in the next day or so you better get your ticket. I'm surprised they didn't run out yet.

Don't forget to get your 12:30 pm ticket!! The Bus can and will sell out! There are 8 of them, I think, but they say they sell out every year....

    February 1

  • Mary

Melissa, where does the bus leave from? The parade is it in downtown Royal Oak or Detroit? Sorry, I am unsure about the details.

    December 29, 2013

    • Melissa

Mary, the parade is downtown Detroit. Last year the bus left from Black Finn in Royal Oak. They don't have all the details out as of yet, the info I provided is from last year's party bus. I will update it once I get more information!
