1 Year Anniversary Party!! On The Dunes!

We will be having our 1 year Anniversary Party at On The Dunes!  Come on out...bring a friend if you'd like!  The band starts at 7 pm.  "Hidden Agenda".  Besides the usual food, fun and frolicking, On The Dunes offers volleyball, indoor golf, ping pong, pool, corn hole, etc!  Lot's to do for everyone!  If you attended the Scavenger Hunt earlier in the day....this is also where the winners will be announced!

A $5 donation will be asked to help cover our yearly expenses.  If you attended the Scavenger Hunt, you have already done your share!  Thank you!

I hope all of you will come out and join in!  This is a great opportunity to meet all the new people as well!

The music was too loud, and if I were 20, or 30, something it would definitely be my hang out. Anyway, it was nice meeting everyone!

Hi Tamara, usually we meet at normal Happy Hour times and are able to take advantage of the establishments HH prices and sometimes negotiate extended times and menus. But not always. And we do many things besides just Happy Hour, too! And by the way, we are NOT associated with HH Thursdays. Glad you enjoyed meeting everyone though!

Thank you Melissa for organizing the anniversary party and this Meet up group. I have enjoyed every place that I have been able to attend. I am thankful for this group as it gives me a place to meet others and socialize as I don't get that at all in my business. This group was a huge blessing to me over the summer and I've met a lot of very nice and friendly people here; that is what is important to me.
The Dunes is a good place for many as it has other activities to do instead of sitting at a table all night. You can go inside away from the loud music and mosquitoes if needed. I thought the band was very good, not too loud but I come from a state where the live music wasn't as abundant as it is here.

I did get bit a few times but that is my fault as I didn't put spray on.

I am sad I will have to miss a lot of the upcoming get togethers as my son is playing football during the week. If anyone is interested in joining a fantasy football I would like to put one together.

Well said Kim . I missed the party so I cannot comment on that but in the last year, it has been a lot of fun and I have experienced a lot of nice places as well as I have found this be a group with people who are very nice and accepting of others. Great group.

Thanks Melissa for organizing this . I enjoyed the venue...a lot to do and fun to have. The band was great, too.

The Dunes is a nice place if you are in your 20's. The food was great and our server did an excellent job.

Both the band and D.J. were too loud. It was very difficult to talk with anyone due to the music being so loud.

The mosquitos in the patio area were really bad. The restaurant needs to spray for mosquitos. The mosquitos became more aggressive as the night went on.

I'm not sure where the 40 - 60 year old crowd should be.......but the Dunes wasn't it.

I completely 100% disagree! The band wasn't loud since they were playing outside. Talking to others was easy. Mosquitos at the volleyball courts should not be a problem since all you need is repellant. You can watch the Tiger game, play ping-pong, pool, foosball, golf, volleyball -- it's the perfect place. Perfect night, too.

I'm with Will on the band being far to loud.to try and talk over and I failed to pack my mosquito repellant in my purse. Just didn't fit and I certainly don't usually carry it with me. I would have expected the venue to have treated the area for them. A group of us ended up inside just so we could talk.
