Time to party like it's 2014! It's all here: Booze. Food. Music. And Josh's awesome party room for NYE. All we need is you!
Here are the details:
I have a nominal start time of 8. You don't need to be there at 8, but that's when we open the bar. We have the place until 2. I've listed this here, on my meetup Twin Cities Comedy and Wine, and a couple other meetups. We're expecting about 50 - 70 people. It is fine to bring friends. The more the merrier (up to about 70).
Denise is supplying the food (heavy appetizers), including her fabulous meatballs (and believe me, this chick has balls).
I'm going to be supplying the booze: we'll be doing mainly a martini bar, but with beer and wine as backup. And of course, we'll have sparkling wine at midnight(or as the French don't like us to say when it's from California: Champagne).
Snuggles will be doing decorations, party hats, all that kind of stuff.
We will have a DJ.
All you have to do is show up. Oh, and pay me $28. $28. NYE. Food. Booze. Music. DJ. And lovely decorations. A bargain indeed.
Denise has designated "fancy dress casual" as the attire of choice. Translation: "Whatever". Snuggles will dress up, I'll wear jeans, and Josh will show up in his underwear.
Here's a picture of the party room. It's 3 levels and has a view, and more importantly, a bar.
Fireside Lounge Party Room—Located at the top of the building, the three-level party room features two fire places and wonderful views of downtown Minneapolis. A large serving bar, a fully-equipped, caterer-friendly kitchen, with an ample supply of dishes, glassware, and utensils, and men’s and women’s rest rooms make entertaining easy and fun.
Again, to attend, please sign up and pay on Twin Cities Comedy and Wine. You can RSVP here if you wish, perhaps so others from the group can see you're going, but it don't count till you pays me and you does that on: Twin Cities Comedy and Wine
Why are we charging money? Because we need money to buy food and drink. Why prepay vs. door? Because we need a headcount to know how much to buy and the only way to know "yes" means "yes" is if there's money with it. We'll start making final prep after Christmas, so I'll allow refunds until then (12/25 for you Heathens). After that, you're locked in.
