Social networks have changed a lot of things - traditional PR, job search, company and personal branding, and professional relationships. There are a lot of opportunities for you, as a professional, to use these tools for your company, career or job. Join us as Jason shares strategies and tactics to help you get more out of social tools available to you. He will address a ton of questions and make sure you will take away the following:

  • Dos and Don'ts on any social network, as well as WHY you should include social networks in an online marketing strategy.
  • How social tools can be a part of an overall complementary strategy, and how to spend the right amount of time in each tool.
  • Tactics for getting value out of LinkedIn.
  • Tactics for getting value out of Twitter.
  • Tactics for getting value out of a CRM tool (using JibberJobber.com as an example).

After you leave the event, you will have Jason’s book to read to continue your path of knowledge with LinkedIn. This will be an evening you can't miss.

Great presentation! I wish we could have bigger room and more time to cover the Linkedin part. Otherwise I enjoyed it very much. I also could network with other people in a safe and supportive environment.

Excellent session meeting Jason Alba and learning exciting new information about LinkedIn, and Facebook professional relationship building and how we can enhance our network and grow our "branding"!! I learned it is very important to import your contacts and to write a concise summary with story lines about yourself, it is the best way of "branding" and saying something unique about who you are, your specialities and some of your accomplishments and attributes. Thank you very much Mitchell for the opportunity to serve your HappyAbout Event as Event Registration/Greeter!

Social networks are increasingly critical to get our message and brand out. The key is to use the right combination of tools, blogs and site specific to the target audience and industry.

Jason Alba gave an excellent talk, filled with specific info on how to use social network tools. Standing room only. More chairs needed, or a bigger room.

Really enjoyed meeting Jason Alba, he was very approachable and open in sharing his information/ideas/knowledge. Very nice guy. Mitchell Levy was well-organized, professional. Overall the experience was very nice. The room was certainly crowded, but that's not a bad thing, except for the people standing, perhaps. Only critique is that some of the questions were off the immediate topic, and Jason was getting a bit side-tracked, and thus quickly running out of time. Perhaps questions could be broken into 2 groups - those that relate to what Jason is speaking about *at that exact moment*, and others that do not, that can be answered later. Or folks can be told to only ask questions that pertain to the immediate subject, and then haven open Q&A later in the event. Wonderful experience, though. Thank you for organizing this. Best regards, Ron Jones [masked]

Great speaker, great topic, great organizer and a really great crowd. Got a great book. Glad I went! I would encourage anyone interested in social media to attend future ones - as I will :-)

While I enjoyed the opportunity to network (5:30 - 6:30) the presentation by Jason Alba on Linked In could have had more time (we went over by 30 minutes) to answer more questions. Overall, the meeting was very good, although the space was too small for the number of people. Sorry that I missed the Twitter meeting the month before.

Really enjoyed meeting Jason in person. He's just as dynamic in person as he is online.

Very informative. I particularly liked hearing about how Jason uses the various sites and coordinates messages. Also great to receive the book.

Just recently got involved with 'professional' blogging (WordPress because it links to my LinkedIn account), Twitter, and creating my own website. This meetup provided valuable insight and tips from a very knowledgeable source, Jason Alba. Jason's was willingness to stay longer to answer questions was a real plus...thank you Jason. Leaving the meeting I felt empowered with the tools to utilize social media in a more beneficial way. My only negative, when one knows a large group has registered for the event, insure you have enough chairs to allow all to sit down.
  • Steve Huff
Good speaker, timely topic - but not enough time to cover all the issues and questions.
