"All About Lensbaby" Photo Workshop, by Leo Heppner
Sunday, April 14th, 1-4 PM
Located at La Cucina Italian Restaurant, 103 N Washington St, Havre de Grace, MD
Take pictures like you never have before! Join us for "All About Lensbaby", a 3-hour workshop conducted by professioal photographer Leo Heppner. Learn how Lensbaby selective focus lenses can allow you to be far more creative than simply using basic camera operation. Lensbaby brand lenses for SLR cameras combine a simple lens with a ball & socket mechanism to create special-effects for extra creativity. Lensbaby lenses are popular with photographers for the creative possibilities of the selective focus and bokeh effects. The lens can be manipulated off axis to move the sharpest area of focus (called the "sweet spot") to almost anywhere in the frame. This allows the important part of the subject to be rendered fairly sharp, with everything else out of focus, even if it is the same distance from the camera. In this workshop, we’ll have all the new Lensbaby lenses for you to try out on your DSLR camera. We’ll experiment with eight different optics, as well as the macro, wide angle and creative aperture accessories. There will be a still-life to photograph, and a professional model appearing live to shoot, as well.
Please bring your DSLR camera with plenty of memory cards and be ready to have fun shooting with a Lensbaby! If you already own a Lensbaby, please bring it. And if you want to try them out, there will be the entire range on-hand, and we will be supporting all the popular brands of cameras!
Workshop sponsored by Lensbaby (www.lensbaby.com) and Nations Photo Lab (www.nationsphotolab.com). Participants of this workshop will receive a special discount code for use with purchasing products on the Lensbaby website, and they will also receive a $25 gift card with Nations Photo Lab!
Workshop Fee: $40 each, and for Photo Club members $35 each ($5 discount!) Space is limited for greater individual attention.
